• Before you got your signature shoe, which was that was the Madden 22 coins Nike Air Bo Turf, back in 1990, your name was on for the Nike Air Trainer 3, which was dubbed your shoe. What memories do you have about this shoe? Air Trainer 3?
  
  Well, I'll put it like this. In 1969 my time in the first grade of my life in rural Alabama during winter, it was 30s in the outside. And I had to go to school naked. There were no shoes. I'm not saying this for the sake of sympathy or to make a story. However, I can recall my brother being a block away from the house. I'm at the front entrance. My other sister stood just a one block from his brother, and our other sister was at on the way to the bus stop. My sister, who was at the bus stop could see the bus at the top of the hill a couple of kilometers away, she'd shout her sister, who would yell to my brother, and my brother would yell to me. And then I'd go out the door with my feet in the air. At the point that my brother came to my sister's house I'd probably caught him before he even got there. At the time we made it close to our bus stop, I'm just 15 and 20 yards from my sister and brother. From schooling barefoot during the winter of '69 to growing older and having a sneaker inspired by me ... It was blessed.
  
  After about 30 years, some people still boast about their favorite shoes and have a collection of the shoes. Recently I had a friend who I am, Anthony Anderson, the comedian, texted me, 'Hey, Bo! I'm doing a comedy show about each of my sneaker. I'm not able to find those Air Shoes. I need a pair of your shoes It just that I found one on my desk. I thought to myself, 'Hey! I've found the shoes here. I'll send your pair. It's those moments like those when I just sit back and go, 'Wow.'
  
  The last NFL year, New York Giants running back and Nike star Saquon Barkley received his own replica of Air Trainer 3. What did it feel like see him pay homage to you by wearing the sneakers?
  
  I blessed him with these shoes. It was like I was saying"Grasshopper, it's your opportunity to carry this torch. And you must carry it well. I'm confident that he will do a good job at it. Saquon is a nice kid. He reminds me of a much of me. He's fast and strong, and keeps his head in the right direction. That's what impresses me most. His personality isn't his stats. I love how he conducts himself.
  
  Everybody will have Bo Jackson. But when you reflect upon some of the NFL running backs who have been after you, which ones are the most like you?
  
  I can only come up with two examples -- Saquon as well as Derrick Henry -- on the sheer strength, power and the ability to navigate throughout the field as well as defend. They do not necessarily have the speed that cheap Madden nfl 22 coins I had. However, they've succeeded in making it work for them. They're very effective in what they do.
