The National Task Force on Information Technology Presented a report to Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee in August 1998 seeks to set India on a high growth path of the information age. In the Third (3rd) part of this report "on enabling IT for all" the Action Plans calls for ‘OPERATION KNOWLEDGE’. The aim of this National Campaign will be to Universalize Computer Literacy and also to spread the use of Computers and IT in education. "OPERATION KNOWLEDGE" is to be developed into a Comprehensive Policy within the next three months. The report also states that computers are to be made available in every school, Polytechnics, Colleges, Universities, and Public Hospitals in the Country by the Year 2003.This report further boosted our morale and kept spirits high. This was viewed as a real Opportunity to serve for the Nation and contribute to make a New IT India. But there are lots of obstacle behind our path. But now, we have set a target to make 1,00,000 Computer literates by 2008 as the theme of the report was "IT for all by 2008". With enormous response and on hand experience gathered from the Block Level projects undertaken, "SUNITA INFOTECH" extended the motto of these Projects by launching the Nationwide Programme under the Banner of "RASHTRIYA COMPUTER LITERACY DRIVE", to contribute to "OPERATION KNOWLEDGE" of Government of India.
