VIETRADE - With Vietnam having a coastline of 3,260 km and an exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of more than one million km2, seafood is important in the social and economic development and a key economic sector. Marine seafood resources’ potential is 4.2 million tons of which the annual allowable catch is 1.7 million tons, making Vietnam one of the world’s largest seafood producers and exporters along with Indonesia and Thailand.
